From left to right: IJssebrand Ziel, Bart Claessen, Sjouke Ritsema en Aard Duivenvoorden are the founders of the company.

“We got to know each other at the University of Twente in Enschede. With a mutual passion for science and watersport a close friendship developed.

When Homme-Jan, father of Sjouke, wanted to power his farm with solar panels, the idea of a small wind turbine took shape. Year-round energy, summer and winter, that sounded ideal.

Anxious we started developing and building and soon we finish our first prototype. Both farmers and people from the village reacted enthusiastic and before we knew it, our company was born.

This happened in 2014, in a small village called Overschild in the northern province Groningen, the Netherlands. Looking back, this was the moment that we started our mission: “Supply the countryside with energy, worldwide”.
